Celebrating 20 Years of Creativity — The 2025 Island Bay School Art Auction
20232025 marks 20 years since the very first Island Bay Art Auction, a biennial event that has become a much-loved fixture on the school and community calendar. This vibrant evening brings together artists, collectors, and supporters to celebrate creativity — all while raising funds for arts education at Island Bay School.
Proceeds from the auction support initiatives like our exceptional Artist in Residence programme. Over the past five years, we’ve been privileged to host talented artists including Margaret Tolland, Greta Menzies, Athena Grob, Sheyne Tuffery, and Lisa Walker, who have inspired and worked alongside our ākonga.
The auction showcases more than 100 artworks, with a selection available for fixed-price purchase and around 35 featured in a fast-paced live auction. There’s something for every art lover — from affordable gems to high-end pieces.

Doors open at 6:30pm for fixed-price sales. Enjoy bubbles on arrival, complimentary canapés throughout the evening, and a bar serving fine wine and craft beer. The live auction kicks off at 8pm.
