Reminder: Final Island Bay School Hoodie Orders for 2023 – close 22 Sept

Wed Sep 20 07:33am

There are two hoodie designs available – a general school hoodie as well as a hoodie for our Year 6 Leavers. If your child plays sport for Island Bay, we suggest choosing the navy colour, but any colour is fine.

We recommend you check the sizing carefully, but if in doubt go a size up. These are small sizes so err on the side of caution. We also recommend you choose a nickname as this allows us to get your hoodie back to your child easily, should it get lost!

Orders close 22 September. Once you have ordered, you will be emailed an invoice to pay via Kindo. Any questions, please contact Keri; keri@islandbay.school.nz. Please complete one form per child.

Reminder: Your voice is important! Please fill in our Community Survey.

Tue Sep 19 07:32am

This survey is designed to measure parent satisfaction with our strategic direction, and the programmes and services provided by the school. It is divided into sections that
connect to each of the aspects of our school’s strategic plan.
Your feedback and support is critical and will be used to assess and improve our school’s overall success and inform future planning.

Please complete this survey based on your experience of Island Bay School in 2023, regarding the goals we aimed to meet in each section, and where applicable, your
feedback will influence our strategic direction in 2024.

Keen to be involved in our art weekend? We have a couple of opportunities

– We are looking for help on the evening of the auction to help our drinks and food team. Please let us know if you’re able to help out, even for an hour or two.

– On Sunday afternoon we need help packing down the artworks and wrapping them for pick. It’s a quick job when lots of people help out. And lots of fun!

– There are still some slots available for anyone who would like to perform a song or two as part of the market’s mini-concert 12-1pm.

– if you are interested in helping out for a couple of hours over the weekend, please be in touch ibaa2023@gmail.com

15 more volunteers needed for School Art Auction signs!

Wed Jul 19 07:31am

Kia ora e te Whānau,

It’s just over a month now until the Island Bay Art Auction!

Friday August 25 is the night of the year for art enthusiasts, and a great social night out for the community. We are still seeking about 15 more volunteers happy to host a sign on their fence or gate for the weeks leading up to the event to help promote it in the community. Alongside promoting the auction Tommy’s real estate will also be donating $25 for every sign displayed to the school.

The signs are all organised for us, we just need your help with a space to hang a sign.

To make an easy $25 for Island Bay School please follow the above link to learn more about it and then please submit your details if you can help. We need 50 families to help so we can hit our target of raising $1250 for the school so share the sign up link with friends and family if you can.

Ngā mihi!

The entrance via Clyde Street remains in operation but please take care near the fenced and coned off areas up the driveway and around the turf.

We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow!
